Alls Well That Ends Well

Well this is the first post from my new phone. Last weds I lost my phone but all is good coz upon ringing to block my sim card I discovered I had insurance I didn’t even know about. This meant they could replace my phone however didn’t make my phone anymore so gave me a choice of other phones. Lucky for me blackberry was one of those choices and I had wanted one for quite a while so I decided upon that. This wasn’t the end of the story though. The first phone they sent me didn’t work so the next day they came again swapping the faulty one for one that works.

The Summer of Awesomeness Part 2

Well a lot of fun has been had since the last time I posted on here.  The first thing to happen was a trip to France for a 5 days.  The weather was lovely and I had a great time topped off with our annual visit to Honfleur.
The next exciting thing was my first ever trip to the Isle of Man to visit Sam.  I loved the time I spent there and was great chilling out and spending time together.  She took me round the TT course where we saw a carving of a wizard.
We went to the wildlife park where we saw lots of cool animals and also got to see Vicky who also lives in the Isle of Man.  My favourite was the animal that looks like a giant guinea pig.
We went to the sound which is the most southerly point of the island.
And lastly had a great night out finishing with heading to Douglas after originally saying we would stay in Castletown.
After Isle of Man had a pretty quiet couple of weeks except for seeing Harry Potter again with Lauren Sharp as a thankyou for signing me up to Pottermore (which I still don't have my email for :( )  Saturday night however I had an awesome night out in Chesterfield fancy dress style as a send off/graduation celebration.
I had the best night out I have had in a long long time, due to some amazing friends and a lot of laughs.  Reading the tweets I sent out that night the next morning was rather amusing though my personal favourite being "well I never knew cotton eye joe had a dance, fuck my life".  The things you do when under the influence of any amount of alcohol will human beings never learn lol.  Can't wait for the next night out.
There is only two things left now till this summer is over and my life really does start moving forward and on.  The first is a day out with Kylie to Chatsworth Country Fair, which will be fabby andwe will have loads of laughs.  The last thing after that is to move into my new house which is going to be another new and exciting experience.  To end this post a picture of something you don't see very often
And yes my summer really was awesome :)

The beginning of my summer of awesomeness

Well after a period of not blogging I have decided now is the time to start again especially after the amazing things that have happened in the last few weeks.

First to explain the title of this blog.  I have decided that this summer I am going to have the best summer of my life and do things I have always wanted to do and basically make it as awesome as possible.  The last few weeks have been a great start to this.

It all start with a great weekend at Centre Parks with 5 of my bestest friends, Laura, Dale, Kirsty, Lee and Alex.  We had the best time ever chilling out and just spending time together after a year spent apart at university and home.  Memories were made that will stay with us for years to come and the majority of the weekend was spent laughing and with Smiles on our face, though I still think the best thing of the whole time is the woman who swam passed 5 times while we were in the plunge pool getting more and more confused each time before finally telly us we were mad LOL. :)
The next exciting thing to happen was that on the 6th July I went down to London for  2 days for the World Première of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.  I have to say it was the most incredible 2 days of my life.  I left Chesterfield at 7.55 am arriving in London for 10.05.  Once there I headed straight for Leicester Square the location of the World Première where I was greeted by over 1000 people, some who had arrived a week earlier.  I then proceeded to join the que in order to get a band for entry into the première the next day, where I met some lovely like minded people to chat to about Harry Potter the whole time.  After over 4 hours of waiting I got to the front of the que where I received my band for the next day.
I went straight into the holding area for all the fans who were staying there till the next day were but it appeared that all the good spots had gone.  I therefore decided to go see a musical as I was in London and I love the theatre so it seemed to good an opportunity to miss.  After searching around I was able to get a ticket for Billy Elliot for only £20 so I bought it and then went a trip to Buckingham Palace and Hamley's toy store before heading back to the theatre.

Billy Elliot was amazing one of the best shows I have seen and all the performances from every cast member, young or old, was fantastic.  After the show finished I headed back to Leicester Square, with my fingers crossed it wouldn't rain, ready to spend the night there with the hundreds of other people who were doing the same thing.  Once there I found a spot got out my sleeping bag and went to sleep while a hive of activity was going on around us getting ready for the next day.  We were very lucky and the rain held off until around 5am when we had all woken up full of adrenalin for the day ahead.

The next 6 hours were then spent entertaining ourselves as we had been told that the people in the area I was stood in would be moved to a different pen with better views at 11am.  This included mass sing-a-longs of Harry Potter puppet pals, A Very Potter Musical and Glee as well as a huge game of Harry Potter Top Trumps using 3 different sets of cards in order for there to enough to go around.  As told at 11 am on the dot we were moved and with lots of people in front of me I expected to still have a really rubbish view, however on reaching our desternation I was able to get a spot on the front row opposite the press and specifically where they were filming things to go on the DVD when it comes out.
We then waited another 5 hours for the Première to start getting more and more excited with the adrenalin that was pumping.  When it started it was just as good as I hoped it would be if not better.  I was able to get 7 of the stars autographs including Rupert Grint, the Phelps Twins, Jessie Cave, Alan Rickman, Helen McCrory and Domhnall Gleeson, as well as also getting my picture taken with James Phelps.  I may have got very wet over the 2 days but I didn't care, the experience was incredible and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
The following Tuesday after the Première was a huge moment for me when I finally Graduated after 3 years of hard work.  It was a really long day with a 3 hour drive there and 3 hour drive back, however it was also a very nice day and was lovely to see everybody again for one last time.  It was especially nice getting to be sat with Sarah and Erica after we all dropped the QTS parts of our degree.  All in all a really nice way to end things though is sad that some people I will probably never see again.
Finally I come to Friday 15th July 2011, the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.  Me and my friends all booked to go see the 2.30 showing.  After arriving we picked up our tickets and bought 3D glasses before getting inline to wait to go in to the screen.  I loved the film, which is now my new favourite, and cried at the end sad that it is all over.
This week, with graduation and the release of the final  Harry Potter film, truly marks the end of my Childhood and moving towards an exciting adventure into adulthood and the world of the unknown.  But, you know what, I'm looking forward to it and am sure that it will be just as exciting and fun filed as the first 21 years of my life.

So long........things happen for a reason

Sorry I haven't posted recently.  The lack of placement and then the sudden loss of my grand-dad hasn't given me much to be happy about.  I'm now back in a good place again with love and support of all my friends and am settled into my placement school.  During all of this I have realised things happen for a reason in life.  Sometimes it may take a while for to you to find out the reason but I like me you will find out eventually.  Failing placement last year seemed like the end of the world and not having a placement felt disastrous however all turned out right as it meant I could be at home during a really hard time and I have got a placement now in school which I love.  So when bad things happen they may seem like the end of the world but one day you will find out why these things happened.

Here is a song I love right now have listened to it so many times over the last 6 weeks: Smile by McFly

So go ahead smile things always seem brighter when you do and don't forget its contagious so you may just make some one else smile as well :)

What Friends are For

This weekend I have really been reminded why my friends are all so important to me.  Rather than them helping me, for once I have been able to help them and have loved every minute of it.  Whether its an unplanned trip to the pub and sleepover with a film to help a friend get away, a cheeky bet on the Grand National and a pub tea to cheer a couple of friends up, or a video of me making a fool of myself.  It doesn't really matter whether it is something big or something small, if it cheers someone up and puts a smile on their face its worth it and I think I have caused a few smiles this weekend (I hope).  So chin up smile, and if your down remember there is always some one out there that cares about you. :)

Smile - Glee cover of Charlie Chaplin

Love this song explains everything I believe, that a smile will always make you feel better, whether you fell down or unwell.  So give it ago, even if you don't think there is anything to smile about at the minute, that is probably when it is more important than ever :)

And so It comes to an end...

I may have turned 21 over a week ago now but today with my celebration with friends from university my birthday officially comes to an end.  I never thought when I set out with the idea that I wanted my 21st to be the best birthday I have ever had that it would turn out as awesome as it has.  This is mainly down to my fantastic parents and lovely friends.  It all started on March 27th, the day before my birthday.  In the evening we had a lovely family meal at home to celebrate with my grandad.  The food was lovely and after we had the first of my many cakes (more on that later).

The next day March 28th, I turned 21, and had a really nice day.  It started with breakfast with my family, opening the presents I had received which were all lovely, and the many many cards.  During the day I then went shopping, to Nottingham, with a friend I had gone to school with.  We had lovely day making a few purchases and meeting up with another friend from school for a drink, as he is at uni in the city.  Later that evening I went out for a lovely meal with my parents and brother to a lovely Italian restaurant.  We were the only ones in that night but it only made it nicer as we were able to interact with the owner/chef of the restaurant who made us laugh and made the evening special.

You may think that was it until today, but no.  Saturday was PARTY DAY.  I woke up very early as I had to catch a train a 8am from Lancaster to Chesterfield.  Once home I dropped my bags of with the parents then headed into town to start preparing myself for the party.  First stop was the hairdressers, where I had my hair washed and styled.  I then killed some time window shopping before heading to have my make-up done professionally.  After meeting my friends that were coming to my party we all headed back time with enough time to get my dress on before the rest of my guests arrived.  We all had a lot of fun, I received more gifts and cards and we all ate and drank plenty.  I mentioned before that it was the first of many cakes, and you maybe thinking where are all the others.  Well the many other cakes is now.  Instead of the one cake my mum bought a tier of cupcakes for my party.  It was all in pink and purple, the colour theme of my party.  It was the best surprise ever, and we ended up with enough left over to take some to church, and for me to be able to bring some back for friends. :)

Is this the end of that you may ask.  Well no it isn't.  Myself and couple of friends who attended the above party decided to head into Chesterfield to hit the pubs and clubs.  Once there we met up with several friends and this is where it got even more awesome.  After a short while of being in town a friend walks in and says he can get us all on the guest list for escapade with q-jump passes and reduced price entry.  We all agree to this plan and he heads off sorts it all out and meets us back where he left us.  Later we head to the club and everything goes as plan, however once there we realise we are not just on the guest list but VIP list.  With this we got free VIP bands and access to the VIP area all night, so once in we headed there.  First thing we did is order a bottle of fizzy between us (it is my 21st after all) and head to find some seats.  From there things got even better, we find that one of the VIP pods for private party's isn't being used, so we head in thinking if we shouldn't be in there we would get moved.  We weren't, so we used this as our base for the rest of the night, taking it in turns to head on to the main arena dance floor, which our pod looked over.  We all had a fantastic night and had the heads and stomachs that told us so the next day.

Now for tonight, I'm having a few friends round and we are gonna have a pj party, have a few drinks, eat party food and play some games.  It should be a nice chilled out night to create the perfect end to the most awesome birthday ever.  I don't think if I had planned it all it could have gone any better.  Though I have always said the unplanned usually turns out better than the planned.  Maybe I should listen to myself more in future and not worry that everything is going to be good before it even starts. :)
